Chickasaw Beavers had an evening of racing, and decorating, toy cars. Charlie Britten and Charlie Lawrence shared the prize for ‘Best Dressed Car’, though it was a very difficult competition to judge as all the decorations and modifications were excellent! Nathaniel Parry’s car was the one that travlled the furthest in another very close competition.

The Explorers worked in teams and were given 2 tin cans, water, an egg, a candle, they could use any of the supplied tools and anything else they could find to see who could boil an egg quickest. The only group that succeeded cheated and used the cooker in the kitchen!
We ‘planted’ hyacinth bulbs on 13th Jan – it was a bit messy getting them out of their pots of compost, but not as messy as painting the jars we have planted them in! It’ll be interesting to see how well they grow and whether the Beavers predictions about what colour the flowers will be.
