We all had a great time at the District Teddy Bear’s picnic at Boyd Field on 17th June. For the first time in the 5 years that Red Squirrel has done this event, all of our teams finished the run around the field collecting stamps at the bases. One of our teams, led by White Rabbit, came joint first – well done !
The last 3 weeks
In the last few weeks we went on a walk around Stotfold looking at the old buildings for our Local History Badge. We have also learned about the rules and history of football for our Sports Enthusiast Badge and we worked on our fitness doing Bleep tests, for the older Cubs working on the old Chief Scout Silver this forms part of their Fitness Challenge.

Chickasaw Beaver Walk
We had a lovely walk on Weds 10th June – finishing at Radwell Meadows after noisily making our way through the woods. Many thanks to the parent helpers who were able to join us for a relaxing evening in the sunshine.
Follow the link below to a short but noisy video.

Boyd Field
We met at Boyd Field on Weds 3rd June for an evening of games and running around in great weather. Most of the time was spent playing football or trying out the rope swing, when we got tired of that and had a well-earned juice and a rest we hunted down the forty CDs which had been hidden in the trees (team 2 won this challenge). It’s possible a few weren’t found but we are going back there in two weeks for The Teddy Bear’s picnic so maybe we will find them then !
